week 11 Endgame


Greetings I’m Jonathan and I’m going to tell you what the leftovers have been up to the last seven days.

 

We’re now in the final stages of development with our attention focus on polishing and fixing up our game we’re as the title says we’re truly in the endgame.

 

Our teams programmers have put there focus on polishing the options sliders as well as the mechanics used to navigate the game. And with the end in sight for them the player can really start to ready themselves to face there final challenge.

 

As navigating the corridors of the arcade machine and solving puzzles were not enough there final challenge is one hell of a spider.

 

Our teams animator put her focus on updating the spiderlings, giving them a brand new mesh and adding in a new animation for the player for when there time has run out. But let’s return to that final spider shall we having it in game and swatting the player she also made sure that it make a grandiose entrance

 


Next up our environmental team worked on polishing the level design, to make it feel more lived in. With this the world itself will feel more alive when the player goes around solving puzzles and running from spiders.

 


To create that feeling of a living breathing world more particles where created. Some to help guide the player along the way others more environmental.

 

Lastly, Over the course of these past seven days we had multiple play testers giving there input on the game and potential improvements. So armed with there feedback we updated our game accordingly.

 

These changes ranged from making the text more readable to updating certain sections of the levels.

Depending on who’s expertise was required to implement the feedback they where send to the environmental, interface, animation or programmer teams .
