Week 6 In full swing


Greetings I’m Jonathan and I’m going to tell you what the leftovers have been up to these last seven days.

 

As is tradition by now the group came together to plan out the next set of tasks. Creating props, particles, making the blueprints, designing the level and animating the player character was put on the agenda for the artists whilst the programmers worked on the player character and environmental mechanics.

 

So with this the programmers resumed adding, refining and debugging the player and environmental code. Adding in the match and laying the foundation of any further mechanics. Alongside finishing up a big portion of the core mechanics used in navigating the level.

 

Alongside finishing these tasks one of the programmers and the groups character artist put there figurative hand together to make the player character come to live with animation and working match.


 

One of the groups artist created the particle effects that the environmental and character teams requested to make the both the world and player character that more alive.

 


Speaking of wich the environmental team worked hard this week alongside the rest of the art team to create the layout of the rest of the game including but not limited to design, feel, puzzles and enemy’s. But beside planning the environmental team also worked on fleshing out the intro level where the player would learn how to navigate this world.

 

Through a combination of both mechanics and visual the intro level has become more dynamic and pleasing to they eye, it well and truly has come to life..

 


Alongside these things the art team also added several props and blueprints to be used to fill the levels with and make it all come together.

 

But the rest of the game will have to be for a later date,
